INTRAPERSONAL-6

INTRAPERSONAL-6A

HER

Her hair was held in the strictest bun. She never starches her dresses but this time she did. She choose her gloomiest colours and her darkest lipstick. She was prepared to murder him with desire; desire so close yet very far indeed.

HIM

He had made it his business to find a hole in her schedule so they could meet. He knew her more than any other. He knew how to make her moan unlike any other man she ever had. And tonight, he was going in for the kill.

***

She had to admit, he looked classy. The army had always been his dream and it had hewed him into the perfect alpha male. This physique was perfectly chiseled making Victoria wonder if everywhere was as chiseled and firm. His skinny jeans did not make it any easier in pushing her thought off that trail.

He had asked that they go see a movie. She must have arrived late because the theatre was empty apart from his chiseled 6 foot 3 inches frame that towered over her.

“You look nice.” He kissed her cheek and sucked sensuously. And in that moment Victoria knew that she was in trouble.

But she was the perfect picture of composure. She raised an eyebrow, indicating that she thought he looked a little less than ordinary.

That was when bibanke stroke its first chord.

The song struck a nerve, a huge one.

“Is this your idea of a joke?” Victoria’s voice strained against her composure which was on the verge of shredding to bits and pieces.

“So you remember.”

“The fu...” She threw her hands in the air. Her composure had just vanished into thin air. She turned sharply and started for the door.

He heard him start after her too. Just then two huge men strode through the exit and shut it behind them.

“O, that would be just great, won’t it?”

“Dance with me V.” He said in response. He stood behind her now. He was breathing hard.

“Make me, Ish.”

“I want you.” He brushed the hair off her neck and bit on her neck where it mattered. Vic didn’t have a prayer. Her treacherous self moaned in response. He wrapped his hands around her and swayed, grinding his torso into the little of her back.

“I want you bad.” He whispered this time in between breaths as he nibbled, sucked, and bit on the part of her neck that mattered.

Victoria was undone; so undone that in fact she started to cry.

“Th-th-this song. Asa knew of that moment when she sang this piece. She saw you, you know? She saw you walk from me into the arms of my best friend; into the arms of the prettier of the two of us. She was there when you knelt before her and proposed with our song. She was…” She stopped there and allowed herself to have a full blown meltdown.

“I am sorry. Victoria,” For the first time they’d known each other he called her by her full name, “I was and still am a fool.”

Her legs couldn’t hold her any longer. She collapsed into the floor bringing him with her. And all they did was hold each other.

“I am going to make this right.” He finally said. A note in his voice tore. “I have been wanting to make this right for a long time. Let me make this right.”

She turned to look him in the eye. He was in earnest; his face, a mask of pain. Then he kissed her, the way only he could.

If I had said that she was undone then I was wrong because this time, he broke through any defense she had. And she had been building these defenses for eight years. And he had been able to break through them with just one kiss.

INTRAPERSONAL-6B

She had not had such a restful sleep since she could remember. She shifted slightly in the luxurious bed of the luxury suite of the Lily Hotel. The night they had shared together was pure bliss.

She turned to her side and realised he was not at her side. She was startled. She sat in bed and that was when she saw the message.

Thanks for the night.

I told you when I left you…

You are just too easy.

Love,

Ish.

“Point taken dear.” She could not even cry and she would not even allow herself to think of how filthy she felt as she wondered over and over, “So what was the point, Ish?”
